Mayor Islamabad visited Behbud School at Saidpur Village Islamabad: December 16, 2016
Economic uplift of the women is a step towards overall social well-being. Change in status of women is transformation of entire society. Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views while visiting a school under administration of Behbud Association of Pakistan at Saidpur Village. Mrs. Abida Malik, Senior Vice President of Behbud Association of Pakistan along with other members of the organization was also present on the occasion. The Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz held comprehensive visit of the school and had interactive session with the students and the teachers.
Wardship of underprivileged and orphan children is commendable undertaking. Such high minded endeavors should be encouraged. Privileged people of our society should back such projects, Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz further said. Skill development of the women is an important step towards financial independence of women which ultimately leads to better role of women in society. Women skill development projects by Behbud Association of Pakistan are highly appreciated for their connection with social uplift of women. All possible assistance will be provided to Behbud Association of Pakistan for upgradation and expansion of their ongoing welfare projects, Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz added. Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz witnessed the handicrafts by women skilled through Behbud Association of Pakistan projects.
Mayor Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz visited Saidpur village and issued directions to take measures to do away with encroachments in Saidpur village he further directed to improve sanitary and hygienic conditions in Saidpur village he further directed to make Saidpur village more attractive for tourists. D.G Environment, Director Municipal Administration, Director Building Control and other concerned officials accompanied the Mayor during his visit.
